the temporary journaling technique πŸ“–

This might be the only email in your inbox today that isn't selling something πŸ˜…

But I am sharing all the best weekend plans, from winter gardens to luxury train rides to igloo boats (and if you do want to spend, some of my favourite female-founded brands you can support!).

With the girls: It may not be December yet, but we are in London so all the festive pop-ups have already arrived and they are perfect for a girls evening. The Jurema Winter Garden at The Mandrake Hotel looks to be one of the most magical and inviting! Think faux-fur blankets, candlelit tables and winter mulled wines - who's joining me?!

Going solo: Visit the Ever After Garden in Grosvenor Square. Every year this square in Mayfair is lit up with over 30,000 illuminated white roses. Visitors to the garden can dedicate a rose to a loved one whilst making a donation in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. And this area is a great jumping off point to continue on a festive walk to see some of London's Christmas displays at nearby Annabel's and on Bond Street.

Date night: Take your date to the water, Skuna has launched a fleet of igloo boats that have been cruising up and down the Thames. Β£45 per person includes a welcome drink, alpine snack and either chocolate or cheese fondue dining experience.

Staying in: When you are staying in for the weekend it can be easy to find yourself doom scrolling while binge watching Christmas movies, glass of wine in hand (guilty). Instead, get off devices and choose a hands on creative activity such as this Liberty print paint by numbers painting set!

Belmond Festive Lunch: This is truly a treat yourself moment - and if you are ready to splurge on an extravagant experience this holiday season then dining on board the Belmond British Pullman is probably the best way to do that! Book your festive dining experience here.

British Airways flights: BA is running its annual Black Friday sale with some killer deals on flights. Fly to a new city for less than the cost of a late night Uber including Dublin Β£29, Barcelona Β£35, Luxembourg Β£31, Stockholm Β£39, or Nice Β£39, among others. Check out the deals here.

Rounding up our top picks from some of the UK's best female founded brands. As we head into the Black Friday and holiday season it can be tempting to fill our carts with "bargains" - instead, shop intentionally and support fellow women!

Temporary Journaling

In an ongoing effort to refine my morning routine, I've started a new morning journal session and it's going quite well!

Normally I'm not big on following regimented journal prompts or a system of writing certain things, so instead I start my day with a free flow 10-minute journal session.

I set a timer for 10 minutes, grab my favourite pen and notebook, and write whatever is in my head.

No editing, no judgment, just 10 minutes to get any thoughts bouncing around onto paper.

I've also started ending my journal sessions with a "takeaway from this session" if I had any useful insight or points I want to remember.

Then I tear out the pages and trash them (except for the key takeaway).

Why? I'm not going to go back and read the journals - it's much more about the action of getting thoughts on paper.

Plus there's something highly therapeutic about making something solely for yourself since you know no one else will ever read it!

Have a lovely weekend!

See you on Monday,
