πŸ“Œ The Agenda: Don't let your network go cold before January

Your Network Doesn't Have to Go Quiet In The Final Months Of The Year

It's already happening. People are protecting their calendars and pushing meetings into January so they can focus on wrapping up end-of-year projects and hit their targets.

But with two months left in 2025, you don't want to go quiet on your network and start from scratch in January when everyone's inbox is flooded with "Happy New Year, let's catch up!" messages.

The challenge? Staying visible without being pushy.

This time of year, it can be tempting to put your networking efforts aside until January, but if you do that, you'll miss some great opportunities to strengthen relationships and set yourself up for opportunities in the new year - when budgets refresh, new projects kick off, and hiring starts up again.

In this post, I'm sharing practical ways to stay connected with your network between now and December without adding to anyone's overwhelm (including your own).

And if you're looking to expand your circle before year-end, I would love for you to join me at one of our upcoming Peer Suite events and explore Peer Suite Founding Membership here.

✈️ TRAVEL "Me-mooning" is the travel trend taking over. Forget waiting for the perfect travel companion - 45% of women are planning solo trips, 8% higher than 2024. These aren't lonely holidays; they're luxurious, self-love-filled adventures once reserved for couples.

🧠 WELLNESS "Sleepmaxxing" has hit 125 million views on TikTok, and it's not just another trend. We're finally focusing on getting proper sleep to boost overall wellness - and experts say it's about making the right lifestyle choices: movement, hydration, good breathing, nutrition, and boundaries with our devices. Forget the expensive sleep trackers; focus on the basics that actually work.

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ MOVEMENT Walking clubs are exploding in popularity, with searches for "local walking groups" up 300% this year. It's no wonder our Women's Walk & Talk events are so popular - they combine the social connection everyone's craving with the mental health benefits of moving your body outdoors.

πŸ’Ό WORK Women in the UK are more confident about their work than men (92% vs 82%), yet 40% of us still don't believe promotions are handed out equally. The disconnect is real - we know we're good at what we do, but suspect the system isn't rewarding us fairly. Time to document your wins and make sure they're impossible to ignore.

πŸš€ LEARNING Your career isn't a straight line anymore, with nearly three-quarters of Gen Z professionals expecting to change careers at least three times during their working lives. AI is transforming industries, and new working models are emerging constantly, meaning the ability to navigate change and learn continuously is critical.

How I Increased My Salary by 75% in 2.5 Years (Here's What Worked) Between 2021 and 2024, I increased my salary by 75%. Not through job hopping, but by positioning myself for these increases within the same company. I'm sharing this because too many women accept whatever pay rise they're offered and assume hard work alone will get them fairly compensated. It won't. After a decade in banking, never negotiating, I realised I was significantly underpaid. When I joined an e-commerce brand as COO,...

Tired of Being Too Available At Work? Try These Boundary Setting Techniques We're heading into the final stretch of the year, and that means urgent deadlines, last-minute projects, and the pressure to tie up every loose end before Christmas. Saying no to new work feels impossible, especially with year-end reviews around the corner. But iIf you're already feeling stretched thin, now is exactly the right time to set some boundaries. Maybe it's the late-night emails you feel obligated to answer....

Everyone's talking about: The 50/30/20 Financial Rule You've probably heard of it: spend 50% of your income on needs, 30% on wants, and save 20%. Simple, right? The 50/30/20 budgeting formula is designed to strike a balance between living your life today and securing your financial future. But the problem is that it doesn't work for everyone. If your rent alone consumes 50% of your take-home pay (hello, London), how are you supposed to fit in groceries, commuter costs, bills, your favourite...
