There are 44 days left in 2025.
How are you going to make the most of them?
|
Including today, there are 44 days left in 2025. In some ways, that feels like not very much - the year is essentially over, right?
โ
But 44 days is actually 12% of the year, so over one-tenth of the entire year is still ahead of you.
โ
That's enough time to build a new habit, start the personal project you've been thinking about, or put in place work-life boundaries that stick. Whatever was on your 2025 goals list that you pushed to the side, you still have time to start.
โ
Deadlines for goals are somewhat arbitrary, but milestones like year-end serve as a point in time that signals either a fresh start or a final push, so let's use that.
โ
I've been reflecting on my own goals this week, the ones I achieved, the ones I'm still working on, and the ones I had to push aside to make time for something else (this happens a lot when you are the "Chief Everything Officer" of a new business!). And I realised something when I googled how many days are left this year, that even with just 45 days left, I can still make meaningful progress on what matters most.
โ
So I created a framework that I plan to use to make the most of these final weeks: the 45-day method. Instead of treating the next 45 days as one long countdown, I'll break it into three strategic 15-day sprints:
โ
- Sprint 1 (Days 1-15): Foundation & Learning โ set up systems and build consistency
- Sprint 2 (Days 16-30): Implementation & Building โ push through resistance and solidify habits
- Sprint 3 (Days 31-45): Refinement & Cementing โ finish strong and plan for 2026
โ
On the blog, I've broken down exactly how I plan to use this method to resurrect my abandoned goals and how you can too. You'll learn how to choose goals that work for 45 days, what to do when you fall behind, and how to turn this final push into momentum that carries into the new year.

The best things to watch, read and listen to support your year-end push |
๐ป WATCH Mel Robbins: How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over Robbins cuts through the noise and suggests that momentum beats perfection, and just five seconds of action beats five hours of planning to get what you want. She shows why waiting until you "feel ready" to tackle that project or have that conversation means you'll never start, and how tiny, immediate action rewires your brain.
โ
Try this: Write down one thing you've been avoiding, then do the first step, open the doc, send the message, book the call.
โ
๐ READ "Atomic Habits" by James Clear Yes, I know everyone recommends James' book, and fingers crossed you have already read it, but this is probably the only book you need to build better habits. Clear maps out exactly how to design systems that stick beyond January and why "goals" without process fail.
โ
Try this: Identify one habit you want to cement before December and pair it with something you already do daily, after your morning coffee, when you log on, during your commute.
โ
๐ง LISTEN "On Purpose with Jay Shetty: 6 Step Blueprint to Achieve All Your Goals for 2025" Jay Shetty shares his six-step method for achieving goals, including identifying one personal and one professional priority, understanding the power of small changes, and building community and consistency to overcome challenges. He helps you determine whether the year ahead is for learning, experimenting, or performing, then builds your plan accordingly.
โ
Try this: Write down one personal goal and one professional goal as if you've already achieved them. Then identify the single skill you need to develop to make it happen.

๐ CAREERS - The "Yay Me!" File Before your year-end review, create a "Yay Me!" file of accomplishments throughout the year. Most managers forget what you achieved in January by December, so keeping evidence (client emails, project wins, awards) means you walk into your review prepared to advocate for yourself.
โ
๐ฏ HABITS - Start Habits Now, Not January 1st Why wait until January to build better habits? Research shows 81% of New Year's resolutions fail by February, but people who start habit-building in December are twice as likely to achieve long-term goals.Build the foundation in December when everyone else is in holiday mode, and you'll hit January with momentum instead of starting from scratch.
โ
๐ผ WORKPLACE STRATEGY - Career Cushioning Quietly building backup plans while employed is replacing quiet quitting. It includes expanding your LinkedIn connections, widening your network, updating your CV, maintaining contact with recruiters, and keeping your options open. With job market uncertainty, this is a smart strategy to ensure you are ready for a change if needed.
โ
๐ CAREERS - The C-Suite Shift Only 20% of mid-level women specifically cite interest in C-suite roles, despite 70% seeking increased responsibility. This signals a major shift in ambitions - women want growth and impact, but are questioning whether the sacrifices required for executive roles are worth it.
โ
๐ CAREER PLANNING - Planning Your 2026 Pivot Now If you're considering a career change next year, December is the time to start planning, not January. With 61% of women planning major career shifts, employers are increasingly valuing transferable skills over linear experience. Use December to assess your skills, research target roles, update your LinkedIn, and start conversations so when opportunities open in Q1 you are ready.

โ
There are 44 days left in 2025, and I genuinely believe that's enough time to make something shift. Not everything, just something that matters to you.
โ
Here's to finishing strong - whatever that means for you!
โ
Until next week,
Rebecca x
