This week, I wanted to dive straight in with an invitation to our final Peer Suite events of 2025!

Since launching Peer Suite in April, we’ve hosted 10 in-person events and welcomed over 200 women. If each guest made just five new connections, that’s more than 1,000 meaningful connections created through this community.
​
And that doesn’t even include our online events and 1:1 matches inside the Peer Suite membership!​

Your relationships really are the foundation of your career and personal growth. As the future of work continues to change, more opportunities are being created through networks and trusted connections. Pivoting With Purpose - A Fireside Conversation with Lin Loke of Nuwa Wellness
Join us for an intimate morning fireside conversation with Lin Loke, founder of Nuwa, as she shares her journey from McKinsey to building a science-backed supplement brand for busy, ambitious professionals.
Hosted by Rebecca van Dijk, the session will explore career transitions, burnout, and what it really takes to leave corporate and build something of your own.

Women’s Wellness Evening to Craft Your 2026 Fragrance and Explore the Science of Scent
Join us for a wellness evening that begins with a guided fragrance experience led by Dr Kevser from Art de Huile. In this session, you will learn the neuroscience behind scent and how fragrance can support women's focus, sleep, stress and emotional balance.
You will then craft your own personalised oil blend inspired by your goals for 2026 and receive a complimentary gift from Art de Huile.
We’ll follow the session with our signature curated networking so you can meet other women from the Peer Suite community.

📋 PERSONAL BRANDING Everyone and their mother on LinkedIn is posting about whether you should change your profile to male to increase reach. A recent investigation found women who changed their profile gender to “male” and reframed their language using more “agentic” buzzwords (like “drive”, “accelerate”, “transform”) saw spikes in profile views - some up to 1,600%.​ ​​
What to do: Don’t rush to change your profile, it can confuse the algorithm and isn’t a long-term solution. Instead, do a quick personal brand audit to tighten your headline and experience. Try adding one thoughtful comment to someone else’s post each day, as engagement grows faster through conversation. ​

🛍 SPENDING & SALES PATTERNS Black Friday Sales are around the corner, and the numbers are already revealing interesting shifts. In the UK, consumers are projected to spend £216 per woman on average this Black Friday, a 10 % jump from last year. Meanwhile, nearly 40% of shoppers admit to regretting impulse buys from past sales, with 27% saying they never even used some of the items.
​ ​What to do: Create a simple “needs vs wants” list before you check out and give yourself a 24-hour pause on anything that isn’t essential. Think of sales as a chance to spread out festive spending or stock up on products you already love, rather than impulse buying.

💼 WELLNESS The “wellness for women” market and conversations around hormonal health, menopause, and lifelong vitality are no longer niche. These topics are shifting into career and productivity spheres too.​
​ ​What to do: Think about how your physical and hormonal well-being interacts with your career ambition. Could you use this week to schedule a check-in with your health (sleep, hormones, movement) and tie a small change to your work routine (for example: a midday 10-minute movement break, or ensuring your workspace supports posture & circulation)?
